Kewda belongs to the Pandanaceae family and is native to India. The plants are usually found on sea shores, canals and banks of rivers. Kewda is used in Indian cooking to flavour food and beverages. Kewda is also used in Ayurvedic medicines to treat fevers, joint aches and skin ailments
